===== Series 16 =====
Similar to the series 15, the series 16 banknotes update the design to include a more later portrait of King [[Bhumibol Adulyadej|Rama IX]]. There are two variants of this series, the later one being a circulated commemorative series circulating for a year after King Rama IX's passing. The series 16-2 notes depict the life and achievements of King Rama IX on the reverse.
