Two of Germany's biggest [[Lesezirkel]]s (magazine rental services) are headquartered in Aalen: ''Brabandt LZ Plus Media'' and ''Lesezirkel Portal''. Regional event magazines are ''Xaver'', ''åla'', ''ålakultur''. The commercial broadcasters ''Radio Ton'' and ''Radio 7'' have studios in Aalen.
