Windsor experienced historic flooding in 2016, 2017 and 2019. A previous state of emergency in Windsor was called in 2013 when a fire broke out at a [[plastic recycling]] warehouse. In 2017, Windsor was noted on Environment Canada's top 10 list of weather events.
