===University of Bath in Swindon===
The university opened a second site, Oakfield Campus, in 2000 on Marlowe Road Swindon, on a site leased from the council. Formerly ''Oakfield School''<!--incoming redirect-->, the site was jointly funded by the university and Swindon Council. Under the Gateway Project, the university had planned to build a major new campus next to the Great Western Hospital and the Coate Water nature reserve.
