===National Response Center===
Operated by the Coast Guard, the National Response Center (NRC) is the sole [[U.S. Government]] point of contact for reporting all [[oil spill|oil]], [[Pollution|chemical]], [[Radioactive contamination|radiological]], [[Pollution|biological]], and etiological [[pollution|spills]] and discharges into the environment, anywhere in the United States and its territories.<ref>{{cite web|url=http://www.nrc.uscg.mil/nrchp.html|title=National Response Center|work=USCG |access-date=21 January 2015|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20140218204838/http://www.nrc.uscg.mil/nrchp.html|archive-date=18 February 2014|url-status=dead}}</ref> In addition to gathering and distributing spill/incident information for [[Federal On Scene Coordinator]]s and serving as the communications and operations center for the National Response Team, the NRC maintains agreements with a variety of federal entities to make additional notifications regarding incidents meeting established trigger criteria. The NRC also takes Maritime Suspicious Activity and Security Breach Reports.
