The [[Herpa]] company, a [[Bavaria]]n miniature-vehicle manufacturer, bought the rights to the Trabant name and showed a scale model of a "newTrabi" at the [[Frankfurt Motor Show#2007|2007 Frankfurt Motor Show]].
