In 1982, the 1940 Victor recording "[[I'll Never Smile Again]]" was the first of a trio of Tommy Dorsey recordings to be inducted into the [[Grammy Hall of Fame]].<ref>"[[I'll Never Smile Again]]" was recorded February 17, 1941, with vocals by Frank Sinatra and the Pied Pipers. see the liner notes to the compact disc ''The Best of Tommy Dorsey '' by Mort Goode, 1991.
