Starting in the mid-1980s, as the Macintosh experienced slow but steady growth, Apple's corporate leadership, including Steve Jobs, increasingly disrespected its [[Flagship#Flagship as metaphor|flagship]] [[cash cow]] Apple II series{{emdash}}and Wozniak along with it.
