Steubenville is the seat of the [[Roman Catholic Diocese of Steubenville]]. [[Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church (Steubenville, Ohio)|Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church]] is a historic Greek Orthodox church building near downtown Steubenville. Built in 1914, it was formerly home to a Methodist congregation and is listed on the [[National Register of Historic Places]].<ref name=nris>{{NRISref|version=2010a}}</ref>
