In 1946, the [[Stefan Banach Prize]] (Polish: ''Nagroda im. Stefana Banacha'') was established by the [[Polish Mathematical Society]]. Stefan Banach is the patron of a number of schools and streets including in [[Warsaw]], [[Lviv]], [[Świdnica]], [[Toruń]] and [[Jarosław]].
