This has led to a regeneration of the island's vegetation.<ref name=snh/> The island supports a diverse range of plants, with species such as [[common heather]], [[kidney vetch]], [[Lotus corniculatus|common-bird's-foot trefoil]], [[wild thyme]] and [[tormentil]] all found.
