Retrieved on September 15, 2018.</ref> The city is served by Mease Elementary ([[Dakota City, Iowa|Dakota City]]), Taft Elementary School ([[Humboldt, Iowa|Humboldt]]), Humboldt Middle School, and [[Humboldt High School (Iowa)|Humboldt High School]]. The business Boone Valley Implement is in the former school. By 2015 Siemens spent $500,000 to refurbish the building.
