The population density was {{convert|1,047.6|PD/sqmi|PD/km2|sp=us|adj=off}}. There were 2,664 housing units at an average density of {{convert|388.3|/sqmi|/km2|sp=us|adj=off}}. The [[Race and ethnicity in the United States census|racial makeup]] of the township was 92.8% White, 1.8% African American, 0.0% Native American, 2.8% Asian, 0.0% Pacific Islander, and 2.5% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 2.4% of the population.

Of the 7,178 residents, 26.2% were children under the age of 18, 17.7% were persons 65 years of age or older, and 48.3% were female. The average household size was 2.68 and the owner-occupied housing unit rate was 82.0%.

In the township the population was spread out, with 27.5% under the age of 20, 7.0% from 20 to 29, 21.9% from 30 to 44, 25.9% from 45 to 64, and 17.7% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 41.3 years. For every 100 females there were 107.1 males.

As of the 2020 census covering data from 2017 to 2021, the median income for a household in the township was $128,369 while the [[per capita income]] was $56,226. About 4.6% of the population was below the [[poverty line]]. The U.S. Census estimates that the 2010 median income for a household in the township was $81,875.
