There is a wide variety of unions, including unions exclusive to officers or particular service branches. Some of the larger unions include:
*{{lang|nl|Algemene Federatie van Militair Personeel}} (AFMP, [[General Federation of Military Personnel]]), which was recognized by the Dutch government in 1966. The AFMP is a member of the [[Federation of Dutch Trade Unions]] (FNV).
