The gender ratio of Mysore is 1,000&nbsp;females to every 1,000&nbsp;males and the population density is {{convert|6910.5|/sqkm|/sqmi}}. [[Kannada]] is the most widely spoken language in the city. The residents of the city are known as ''Mysoreans'' in [[English language|English]] and ''Mysoorinavaru'' in Kannada.
