They met while making ''Štěňata'' (1957). They divorced in 1962. Forman had twin sons with his second wife Czech actress and singer {{ill|Věra Křesadlová|cs}}. They separated in 1969. Their sons {{ill|Petr Forman|lt=Petr|cs|Petr Forman}} and {{Interlanguage link|Matěj Forman|lt=Matěj|cs}} (b. 1964) are both involved in the theatre.
