In 2018 the FBISD administration proposed closing Meadows Elementary. Sugar Grove Christian School, a preschool and elementary school, is in Meadows Place. Community college facilities in proximity to Meadows Place are [[Houston Community College]] facilities and the [[Wharton County Junior College]] (HCC) facilities.
