==Wildfires==

===Tubbs Fire=== 
In October 2017, the [[Tubbs Fire]] destroyed approximately 500 homes in the Larkfield-Wikiup area.<ref name="2017Wildfire">{{cite web|title=Northern California Fires Have Destroyed at Least 5,700 Buildings|url=https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2017/10/14/us/california-fire-building-damage.html|access-date=October 15, 2017|work=New York Times}}</ref> The fire blew in through the Mark West Springs area, ultimately destroying 5,000+ buildings in Sonoma and Napa counties.

===Kincade Fire=== 
The [[Kincade Fire]] started on October 23, 2019, in [[The Geysers]]. The fire exploded to {{Convert|10,000|acre|ha}} in its first day. The fire ultimately prompted evacuations in much of Sonoma County, and Larkfield was one of the communities evacuated.<ref>{{cite web|title=
