== Military adoption ==

The kukri is in standard service with various regiments and units within the [[Indian Army]], such as the [[Assam Rifles]], the [[Kumaon Regiment]], the [[The Garhwal Rifles|Garhwal Rifles]] and the various [[Gorkha regiments (India)|Gorkha regiments]].
