The Township Committee chose James DeYoung in March 2022 from the list of candidates submitted by the Republican municipal committee to fill the seat expiring in December 2024 that became vacant following the death of Daniel Conkling the previous month.<ref>[http://www.greentwp.com/uppages/Township%20Committee%20Minutes%20March%2015,%202022.pdf Township Committee Meeting Minutes for March 15, 2022], Green Township.
