Galerius was buried in his [[mausoleum]] at [[Gamzigrad-Romuliana]], which was part of the palace he built at his birthplace, today's [[Zaječar]] in [[Serbia]]. Several lumps composed of corroded iron ring mail (''[[lorica hamata]]'') have been found at the site.
