====Toe jumps====
Toe jumps are launched by digging the toe pick of one skate into the ice, using it to vault into the air with the opposite leg. #[[Toe loop jump|Toe loop]] – the skater takes off backwards from the outside edge of the right (or left) foot, launching the jump using the opposite toe pick.
#[[Flip jump|Flip]] (sometimes known as a toe salchow){{snd}}the skater takes off backwards from the inside edge of the left (or right) foot and assists the take-off using the opposite toe pick.
#[[Lutz jump|Lutz]] – similar to the flip, but the skater takes off from the backward ''outside'' edge of the left (or right) foot, launching the jump using the opposite toe pick.

All of the above descriptions assume a counter-clockwise direction of rotation, landing backwards on the outside edge of the right foot. (For clockwise rotation, the skater takes off using the alternative foot and lands backwards on the outside edge of the left foot.)
