Eryngos are grown as [[ornamental plant]]s in gardens. The most widely grown species are ''E. agavifolium'', ''E. alpinum'', ''E. bourgatii'', ''E. giganteum'', ''E. pandanifolium'', ''E. planum'', ''E. variifolium'' and ''E. yuccifolium''.<ref name=RHSAZ></ref> Two [[Hybrid (biology)#Hybrid plants|hybrid]]s have also been selected for garden use, one being ''E.''&nbsp;× ''olivierianum''<ref>{{cite web |title=''Eryngium'' × ''olivieranum'' |url=https://www.rhs.org.uk/Plants/92751/Eryngium-x-oliverianum/Details |access-date=9 June 2020 |publisher=RHS}}</ref> (syn.
