The neighborhood organization, the Druid Hills Civic Association (DHCA)[http://druidhills.org], gives input to two authorities since the community is divided between the city of Atlanta and unincorporated territory in DeKalb County.

The Atlanta part is an official recognized neighborhood of Atlanta, which in turn is part of [[neighborhood planning unit|NPU]] N.
