[[Manannán mac Lir]], a sea god,{{sfn|MacKillop|2004|p=168}}{{sfn|MacQuarrie|2019|p=11}} presents Aengus Óg with an invincible magical sword named either Móralltach{{sfn|MacKillop|2004|p=160}} or Nóralltach, the Great Fury.{{sfn|MacKillop|2004|p=74}}
In [[The Pursuit of Diarmuid and Gráinne]] it is said of Móralltach that it left no stroke nor blow unfinished at the first trial.{{citation needed|date=February 2024}}
Aengus passes Móralltach on to Diarmuid, along with a second sword, Beagalltach, the Little Fury.{{citation needed|date=February 2024}}
