The median income for a household in the city was $37,492, and the median income for a family was $45,269. The [[per capita income]] for the city was $21,366. About 14.1% of families and 20.5% of the population were below the [[poverty line]], including 40.2% of those under age 18 and 5.4% of those age 65 or over.
