The population density was {{convert|4,799.2|PD/sqmi|PD/km2|sp=us|adj=off}}. There were 16,697 housing units at an average density of {{convert|1,590.2|/sqmi|/km2|sp=us|adj=off}}. The racial makeup of the area was 50.60% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]], 21.70% [[African American (U.S. Census)|Black]] or [[Race (United States Census)|African American]], 0.60% [[Native American (U.S. Census)|Native American]], 10.9% [[Asian (U.S. Census)|Asian]], 0.00% [[Pacific Islander (U.S. Census)|Pacific Islander]], 11.5% from [[Race (United States Census)|other races]], and 4.6% from two or more races. 27.9% of the population were [[Hispanics in the United States|Hispanic]] or [[Latino (U.S. Census)|Latino]] of any race. 37.2 of the population were [[non-Hispanic whites]] and 13.4% were [[White Hispanic and Latino Americans|White Latinos]]. 20.9% were non-Hispanic African-Americans and less than 1% were [[Black Hispanic and Latino Americans|Afro-Latino]]. The average household size was 2.74 and the average family size was 3.18. In the area the population was spread out, with 24.0% under the age of 18, 7.7% from 18 to 24, 31.8% from 25 to 44, 24.0% from 45 to 64, and 12.5% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 37 years. For every 100 females, there were 89.9 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 85.7 males.
