On October 26, 2018, the band surprise-released a new single called "Get Dark" on Spotify and iTunes. This was followed by ''[[The Missing Man]]'' EP on December 7, featuring five new songs.<ref name="Wall Of Sound"/>

On March 25, 2020, AFI was announced as a headliner for the [[Two Thousand Trees Festival]] on July 10 of the same year.
