===Saudi Arabia=== In [[Saudi Arabia]], all debit card transactions are routed through [[Saudi Payments Network]] (mada), the only electronic payment system in the Kingdom and all banks are required by the [[Saudi Central Bank]] (SAMA) to issue cards fully compatible with the network. It connects all point of sale (POS) terminals throughout the country to a central payment switch which in turn re-routes the financial transactions to the card issuer, local bank, Visa, Amex or MasterCard. As well as its use for debit cards, the network is also used for ATM and credit card transactions.
