Martin Lake and Horseshoe Lake offer fishing stocked by [[Colorado Parks and Wildlife]], water skiing, boating, and jet skiing. [[Colorado State Highway 12|The Highway of Legends]], connecting Walsenburg with [[La Veta, Colorado|La Veta]], other historic mining towns, and [[Trinidad, Colorado|Trinidad]], is a [[National Scenic Byway]].

The Walsenburg Golf Course is a 9-hole public golf course open for play year round.
