===40th anniversary march===
On October 2, 2008, two marches were held in Mexico City to commemorate the event. One traveled from Escuela Normal Superior de Maestros (Teacher's College) to the [[Zocalo]]. The other went from the [[Instituto Politécnico Nacional]] to the massacre site of the [[Plaza de las Tres Culturas]].
