===Post–breakup activities===
Following the breakup of Slash's Snakepit, Slash announced he was to begin working on a solo album.<ref name="Slash Blabbermouth"/> Instead he later worked with [[The Black Crowes]] drummer [[Steve Gorman]] and an unnamed bassist on a new project.<ref name="VR Ultimate Guitar">{{Cite web | last = Rosen | first = Steven | title = Velvet Revolver: 'We're Straight Up F—kin?
