===Later years=== In 1968, he established Dharmakshetra or the Sathyam Mandir in [[Mumbai]]. In 1973, he established the Shivam Mandir in [[Hyderabad, India|Hyderabad]]. He inaugurated the Sundaram, a new ashram and temple in [[Chennai]] on 19 January 1981. On 6 June 1993 there was an [[1993 murders in Prashanthi Nilayam|assassination attempt on Sai Baba's life]]. While reports vary, the official narrative is that four men (devotees) entered Sai Baba's residence under the premise of wanting to give him a telegram.
