At the [[2000 United States Census|2000 census]], 13,147 people, 5,109 households, and 3,239 families were in the city. The population density was {{convert|1,768.7|PD/sqmi|PD/km2|sp=us|adj=off}}. The 5,567 housing units had an average density of {{convert|748.9|/sqmi|/km2|sp=us|adj=off}}. The [[Race and ethnicity in the United States Census#2000 census|racial makeup]] of the city was 86.7% White, 0.6% Black, 2.2% Native American, 1.6% Asian, 0.1% Pacific Islander, 5.8% from other races, and 3.0% from two or more races.
