The sovereign is personally [[Legal immunity|immune]] from criminal prosecution or arrest, as well as from civil actions, and their property is not subject to [[Writ of execution|execution]] or [[foreclosure]]. There are more than 160 laws granting express immunity to the sovereign or their property in various respects.
