In 2023, Massey controversially proposed opening a campus in [[Singapore]], aiming to have 5,000 students based offshore by 2026. The affected properties include nine buildings at the Albany campus including lecture halls and a recreation centre, four buildings in Wellington, and nine in Manawatū including two student villages and farmland.
