"Largely indifferent to food, Kavner generally follows a vegetarian diet, although she occasionally eats fish."</ref> In a 1992 interview with ''The New York Times'', she said she was considering retiring "except for doing three days a year for [[Woody Allen|Woody [Allen]]]", but had a feeling that she would receive a script she wanted "to do more than life itself" upon retiring.<ref name="darling"/>
