==Geography==
Johnstown is located in southwestern [[Cambria County, Pennsylvania|Cambria County]] at {{Coord|40|19|34|N|78|55|10|W|type:city}} (40.3260031, -78.9193066).<ref name=gnis/>

According to the [[United States Census Bureau]], the city has a total area of {{convert|6.111|sqmi|sqkm|2}}, of which {{convert|5.913|sqmi|sqkm|2}} is land and {{convert|0.198|sqmi|sqkm|2}} is water.<ref name="CenPopGazetteer2023"/> The [[Conemaugh River]] forms at Johnstown at the [[confluence]] of its tributaries, the [[Stonycreek River]] and the [[Little Conemaugh River|Little Conemaugh]].

===Neighborhoods===
Johnstown is divided into many neighborhoods, each with its own unique, ethnic feel. These include the Downtown Business District, Kernville, Hornerstown, Roxbury, Old Conemaugh Borough, Prospect, Woodvale, Minersville, Cambria City, Morrellville (West End), Oakhurst, Coopersdale, Walnut Grove, Moxham and the 8th Ward. Before 1900, the town of [[Windber, Pennsylvania]], was a suburb of Johnstown, until its incorporation.
