No data were listed for 1990 and 1980.<ref name="2000Census16">{{harvnb|United States Census Bureau|2003|p=16}}</ref> The Darnestown CDP had 2,064 housing units, a total area of {{convert|17.69|sqmi|km2}}, and a land area of {{convert|16.58|sqmi|km2}}. (The difference between the two areas is water—mostly the Potomac River for Darnestown.)
