Dade City is popular with both tourists and residents for its quaint shops, historic buildings, and a variety of renowned events. The [[Kumquat Festival|'''Kumquat Festival''']] is hosted annually downtown on the last Saturday in January, attracting thousands of attendees. The festival celebrates the locally grown [[kumquat]]—a small citrus fruit, similar in size to an [[olive]], that is eaten whole.

The '''Dade City Cruise-In''' car show takes place on the first Saturday of each month from September through May, set around the historic courthouse square.
