Founded in 1874 by German immigrant Michael Sargl, CSBC produces, packages, and distributes soft drinks, beer, malt beverages, energy drinks, and other beverages. In 2012, the Third Street Brewhouse was started and became CSBC's craft beer division. Brynwood Partners, a Connecticut-based private equity firm, bought the company from the Lenore family in August 2017.
