The racial makeup of the city was 83.8% [[White (US Census)|White]], 8.8% [[African American (U.S. Census)|African American]], 0.4% [[Native American (U.S. Census)|Native American]], 1.4% [[Asian (U.S. census)|Asian]], 1.3% from [[Other races (U.S. Census)|other races]], and 4.4% from two or more races. [[Hispanic (U.S. census)|Hispanic]] or [[Latino (U.S. Census)|Latino]] of any race were 4.2% of the population.

The racial makeup of the city was 88.1% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]], 7.3% [[African American (U.S. Census)|African American]], 0.6% [[Native American (U.S. Census)|Native American]], 0.6% [[Asian (U.S. Census)|Asian]], 0.7% from [[Race (U.S. Census)|other races]], and 2.5% from two or more races. The racial makeup of the city was 92.09% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]], 3.55% [[African American (U.S. Census)|African American]], 0.76% [[Native American (U.S. Census)|Native American]], 0.74% [[Asian (U.S. Census)|Asian]], 0.03% [[Pacific Islander (U.S. Census)|Pacific Islander]], 0.81% from [[Race (United States Census)|other races]], and 2.04% from two or more races. [[Hispanic (U.S. Census)|Hispanic]] or [[Latino (U.S. Census)|Latino]] of any race were 2.33% of the population.
