The larvae of a number of species of [[Lepidoptera]] feed on Norway maple foliage. ''[[Ectoedemia sericopeza]]'', the Norway maple seedminer, is a moth of the family Nepticulidae. The larvae emerge from eggs laid on the samara and tunnel to the seeds.
