Beer is second in importance to wine. Vienna has a single large brewery, [[Ottakringer]], and more than ten [[Vienna microbreweries|microbreweries]]. Ottakringer's most popular product is the ''Ottakringer Helles'', a beer with an [[Alcohol by volume|alcohol content]] of 5.2%. Vienna is home to many ''Beisln'', small traditional Austrian pubs.

Local [[soft drink]]s, such as [[Almdudler]], are popular across the country as an alternative to alcoholic beverages, ranking them among the top choices alongside American brands like [[Coca-Cola]] in terms of market share. Other popular drinks include [[Spezi]], a mix between cola and orange lemonade, and [[Frucade]], a German carbonated orange drink.
