*[[Richard Young (MP)|Richard Young]] (1809–1871), MP for Cambridgeshire, a ship owner, five times mayor of Wisbech (1858–1862), JP for the Isle of Ely and Norfolk and a [[Sheriffs|sheriff]] of the [[city of London]] & Middlesex in 1871<ref name="History of Wisbech and Neighborhood" /> He was bornin Scarning, Norfolk, the son of John and Mary Younge. He owned more than 40 ships at different times.
