As in the rest of Spain, [[Association football|football]] is the most popular competitive sport, followed by [[basketball]]. The main basketball club is [[Bilbao Basket]], which plays in the Spanish top division [[Liga ACB]] and their home venue is the [[Bilbao Arena]].
