Public holidays celebrated in Spain include a mix of religious ([[Roman Catholic]]), national and local observances. There are many festivals and festivities in Spain. One of the most famous is [[Festival of San Fermín|San Fermín]], in [[Pamplona]]. While its most famous event is the ''encierro'', or the [[running of the bulls]]. It has become one of the most internationally renowned fiestas in Spain, with over 1,000,000 people attending every year.{{citation needed|date=January 2025}}

Other festivals include [[La Tomatina]] tomato festival in [[Buñol]], [[Valencian Community|Valencia]], the carnivals in the [[Canary Islands]], the [[Falles]] in [[Valencia]] or the [[Holy Week in Spain|Holy Week]] in Andalusia and [[Castile and León]].
