[[J. Gresham Barrett]] brought up legislation in the U.S. House of Representatives which, among other things, referred to Hezbollah as a terrorist organization. Congress members [[Tom Lantos]], [[Jim Saxton]], [[Thad McCotter]], [[Chris Shays]], [[Charles Boustany]], [[Alcee Hastings]], and [[Robert Wexler]] referred to Hezbollah as a terrorist organization in their speeches supporting the legislation.<ref>Congress. In 2011, a bipartisan group of members of Congress introduced the Hezbollah Anti-Terrorism Act. The act ensures that no American aid to Lebanon will enter the hands of Hezbollah. On the day of the act's introduction, Congressman [[Darrell Issa]] said, "Hezbollah is a terrorist group and a cancer on Lebanon.
