===Third level=== There are two university campuses located in the city, [[University of Galway]] and the [[Atlantic Technological University]]. The University of Galway was founded in 1845 as Queen's College, Galway, before becoming known as University College, Galway (U.C.G.) and then as the National University of Ireland, Galway.
