He stars in ''[[Casa de Mi Padre]]'', a [[telenovela]] [[Parody|spoof]] comedy set in a ranch with Mexican stars [[Diego Luna]] and [[Gael García Bernal]]. Despite Smith clearly giving the better performance, Ferrell was named the winner and awarded a giant gold cowbell.
